Discovering La Colorada Lavanda Proyecto: A Lavender Haven in Dolores Hidalgo
La Colorada Lavanda Proyecto is more than just a lavender farm. It’s a farm that was developed to support a rural Mexican community near poverty. The farm was created to build up the community by producing a sustainable and alternative agricultural product. The farm had previously been producing corn, but water is a limited resource and the rainy season is shorter which resulted in limited production of corn.
The project is dedicated to cultivating high-quality lavender and transforming it into a variety of artisanal products, from essential oils to handcrafted goods including lavender sachets, soaps, lotions and shampoo.
If you’re seeking a retreat amidst vibrant lavender blooms or simply looking to explore a new side of Dolores Hidalgo, La Colorada Lavanda Proyecto should be on your itinerary.
